After School Art Classes start September 16th & 18th

All classes are taught as five week sessions taking place on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. First classes start on September 16th & 18th. Cost for classes are $55 plus $10 supplies, per student. Appropriate age range is listed with each class description.

Making animals, with Martha Ambrose
For ages 6-10

Students will learn how to draw and create different types of animals. We will explore how to train the eye to look for basic shapes. We will also go over various coloring techniques to make our animals pop out! Colored pencils, tempera paint, and construction paper will be used.

For ages 10-16

The class features five different projects chosen by students. Projects include Geometric Mandalas, Anime Paintings, Comic Book Drawings and a Student Choice project. The class will also become familiar with how to use and mix primary colors.

For ages 6-9

Variety is what this class is all about! Students will complete one project each week while learning the skills needed to create designs, collage art, drawing and painting using watercolor pencils.

Exploration of drawing, with Martha Ambrose
For ages 10-16

Students will learn various drawing techniques such as sketching, perspective, gesture, as well basic shading. We will also learn about the basics of drawing figures and faces. Media will be pencil, pastels and charcoal


Palmetto Dancers
Palmetto Dancers, an organized dance team for teens and tweens meets every Thursday night at 6pm. Participants will learn various dance routines which include the use of pon poms, baton twirling, jazz dance, and hip hop. This is a high energy, fun activity for girls who love to dance and perform. Although not a competition squad, the group will participate in parades and other local events. One-time initial registration fee is $25, then class fees are $20/month for weekly classes/practice.

** Open House to be held August 21st from 5 to 8pm and August 23rd from noon to 2pm.

Windsong Institute, a music school for students in grades 5 through 12 starts Tuesday, September 2nd. The instructor will be providing weekly band instrument private lessons, full ensemble band rehearsal and band concert performances. Introductory rate tuition is $50/month.
